EMERGING POLISH PHOTOGRAPHERS, is a competition that rewards the most talented young photographers in Poland. I found myself among the winners. DEBUTS is a unique project. It is a representative sample of what the most talented young Polish photographers are interested in, regardless of age, background, beliefs and gender. The works tell completely different stories. From observation of their immediate surroundings, to personality analysis, to pure creation.
They use a variety of techniques, from the oldest (19th century) to the latest.

Jury members:

Peter Bauza (Germany/Argentina) – photographer, winner of this year’s edition of World Press Photo in the Contemporary Issues category;

Grzegorz Kosmala (Poland) – editor-in-chief of the quarterly devoted to contemporary documentary photography “doc! photo magazine” and the originator of DEBUTS;

Olivier Spillebout (France) – promoter of Polish photography in France, director of the Maison de la Photographie gallery in Lille and founder of the Transphotographiques festival;

Marie-Pierre Subtil (France) – editor-in-chief of the French semi-annual photojournal “6Mois”.

Georges Vercheval (Belgique) – lecturer and founder and first director of the Museum of Photography in Charleroi near Brussels.
